I register as soon as registration opens and I still never get my first choice hotel. This is extremely frustrating. Why can I not get my first choice hotel?
We understand your frustration. There is a lot of competition for rooms during the NADA Convention. We receive over 1000 requests for housing the first week registration is open. The majority of these requests are for a few select hotels that are most popular. Housing is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. While we do our best to place attendees in their first choice hotel, it is not always available. This is why it is very important to list more than one hotel when requesting housing.
How do I register for the convention?
Advance registration is now closed. If you would like to register for the 2009 NADA Convention & Expo, you may do so onsite beginning at 10:00am, Friday, January 23, 2009 at 10:00am. Registration will be located in Hall D of the New Orleans Morial Convention Center.
How do I get a hotel room for the convention?
Housing is now closed. If you need to make a change or cancel your reservation, please contact the hotel directly beginning on January 12th.
Cancellations will be accepted up to 72 hours of arrival. You will receive a refund of your hotel deposit from Experient within 30 days.
If you need to make a new reservation, please contact the hotel of your choice directly. New reservations are based on availability.

How long before my registration is confirmed?
If you register online, your convention registration will be confirmed immediately. If you register by fax or mail, it takes two to four weeks to process registrations. Everyone who registers for the convention will receive a confirmation from NADA.
How long before my hotel assignment is confirmed?
If you get your hotel assignment online, your hotel will be confirmed immediately. If you fax or mail your housing form, your hotel assignment will be confirmed within 3 days of sending your housing form to Experient. Hotel confirmations are faxed or emailed whenever possible.
I don’t want to go through NADA for my housing. Can I make my own reservation directly with the hotel?
You are free to make reservations with any hotel directly. You will not receive the NADA rate and there may be restrictions on your reservation that wouldn’t be in place had you gone through NADA.
Can you hold rooms for me, knowing I will send in my registration form and fees later?
No. Hotel rooms are assigned along with your registration. We do not hold rooms pending receipt of your forms and fees.
I checked the Internet and the rate the hotel is charging is much less than what NADA is being charged. Why?
If a hotel needs to sell rooms, they will offer special Internet rates. NADA has no control over these rates. Our rates are negotiated based on market prices one (1) year prior to the convention.
How can I get a receipt for my convention registration?
Your confirmation letter is your convention registration receipt.
What happens if I lose my convention registration confirmation?
If you lose your convention confirmation, please call the NADA Convention Services Department at 703-821-7188 or email at conven@nada.org and we will send you a new confirmation.
Why can’t I pre-register all the way up to the convention?
We end pre-registration in time to finish processing registration forms and fees. We also use the time to finalize workshop materials, print programs and download information to our vendors.
Can I bring my children to the Workshops and Exhibit?
Children under the age of 18 will not be allowed in the Workshops. Children 18 and under can obtain a free badge and come into the exhibit hall during Exposition hours only. Children must be accompanied by and under the strict supervision of a registered adult. Infants and toddlers must remain in a stroller at all times. Children over 18 must register for the Convention.
For Special Services
Wheelchair/Scooter Rentals: Attendees who need assistance getting around the convention center must order a scooter in advance of the meeting. For ordering information, please click here and then follow link to the scooter reservation form.
Rhino Business Services (located in Lobby F of the Convention Center) will have a scooter waiting for you upon arrival in New Orleans and can recharge the battery for you overnight if you do not wish to drive the scooter to you hotel. The cost is $50 per day, with a 2-day minimum.
